Famously Petite will select buyers who have met the required criteria for raising Teacup Puppies, this will be an application-based process. We only approve families that have demonstrated to us that they are ready for a long-term commitment and with this we take a very personal approach to assisting each buyer in choosing the perfect puppy that’s best for their lifestyle and needs.

This deposit goes towards the total price of your puppy. You’re welcome to pay in full – we’ll offer you a $200 discount if you do. However, upon rejection of an application, we’ll contact you and explain why.
COMPLETE AND SIGN THE CONTRACT
If your application is accepted, we’ll send you a puppy contract to review and sign. Make sure you review our health guarantee to understand what’s covered, and what’s not.
WAITING FOR YOUR PUPPY
Now for the exciting bit – waiting for your new puppy to arrive safely! As the new owner of a Teacup Puppy, there will be frequent communication with us privately as we update you on the stages of your puppy. We would like you to be involved and oversee the healthy growth of the new addition to your family.
Our puppies can be reserved once they’re 12 weeks old – have a look at our available puppies. Once your puppy is reserved, we’ll start preparing the pre-shipment vet inspection and compliance verification. Please understand that it takes 3-6 months to prepare for international shipment, plus some quarantine time once your puppy has arrived in New Zealand Australia or Singapore.
During this time, your puppy will be under 24/7 care in our high-quality facilities, including plenty of space to run freely and exercise and play with our other reserved pups who are also waiting for their flight to their new home!
Before boarding their flight, your puppy will be thoroughly checked by an approved registered vet to meet New Zealand, Australia and Singapore’s Import Health Standards.
We know you want to welcome your new family addition as soon as possible, but the nursing period and pre-shipment health checks and vaccinations are essential to the healthy development of your puppy.
TRANSPORTING YOUR PUPPY
When your puppy is ready for their new home, we’ll arrange a time for delivery, you’ll pay the remaining balance and they’re all yours!
All our puppies are flown in cargo to New Zealand, Australia, Singapore and many other countries.
We only use pet friendly airlines that keep pets in climate-controlled environments throughout the entire trip. This means that we are able to move pets year-round without any temperature embargoes.
Before the delivery, our partners will carry the puppy in their vehicle and travel with the puppy while the puppy sits in the same crate we use on the plane. This allows your puppy to get used to noise and travelling so they feel more comfortable when they are on a plane.
Your puppy’s crate has soft cushions attached to all walls, a warm pad underneath the bottom cushion and a mini dog bed. This ensures your puppy rests safely and happily during the flight.
Your puppy will be hand-delivered by our trusted pet exporter partners to the airport. They’ll be accompanied by their customised crate, bedding, blanket, food, water and a self-heating warm pad. Unfortunately, dog toys can make it harder to clear Customs, so we don’t give our puppies toys.
We’ve chosen our pet exporter partners carefully. They’re specialist in what they do, and have a long and happy history of uniting pets with their parents. They’ll handle all the necessary paperwork and compliance requirements so you don’t have to worry about that.
All puppies that enter New Zealand and Australia must be approved by Customs. Your puppy will be quarantined for 10 days before an approved vet will carry out medical checks, prior to your puppy’s release.
All fees are covered in the price of your puppy, including: quarantine, flight, pre-flight vet checks, Customs clearance, import permit, airport cargo and terminal fee, airline document fee, and handling.
PICKING UP YOUR PUPPY
For New Zealand buyers: Once your puppy is arrived in New Zealand and released from Quarantine, you can come to Auckland city for pick up, or we can arrange an onward flight to your nearest airport (at your cost).
For Australia buyers: If your puppy is flying into Australia, you will pick up your puppy from quarantine in Melbourne.
For Singapore buyers: Once your puppy is arrived in Singapore, our trusted pet importers can deliver your puppy to your home.
